EUMA ends homelessness in Northwest Pennsylvania by making it rare, brief and one-time as Jesus would. We accomplish this by providing those in our community who are homeless and in need with safe shelter, basic necessities, and faithful support as they work toward achieving their greatest potential.
Specifically, our mission is carried out each day through the following programs:
-
a 32-bed emergency shelter for homeless families with children
-
a 10-bed transitional shelter and program for homeless Veteran men
-
a community effort to provide safe and warm overnight shelter to men and women who are homeless and have nowhere to go during Erie’s winter season
-
helping those in a housing crisis quickly find a home and wrapping them with supportive services to keep them there
-
offering low-income permanent housing units to formerly homeless families, youth and others.
-
a thrift store providing financial support to EUMA programs and offering free clothing and household items to homeless individuals and those in need through a voucher assistance program
-
offering a bridge from foster care to independent living for youth
