What We Do

Rooted in God's love and care, EUMA provides life-changing opportunities for those who live at the margins of homelessness to become vital members of our community.  We accomplish this by providing those in our community who are homeless and in need with safe shelter, basic necessities, and faithful support as they work toward achieving their greatest potential.

Specifically, our mission is carried out each day through the following programs:
  • a 32-bed emergency shelter for homeless families with children

  • a 10-bed transitional shelter and program for homeless Veteran men

  • a community effort to provide safe and warm overnight shelter to men and women who are homeless and have nowhere to go during Erie’s winter season

  • helping those in a housing crisis quickly find a home and wrapping them with supportive services to keep them there

  • facilitating and providing collaborative healthcare ministry to the homeless community

  • offering low-income permanent housing units to formerly homeless families, youth and others.

  • a thrift store providing financial support to EUMA programs and offering free clothing and household items to homeless individuals and those in need through a voucher assistance program
