We’re celebrating 20 years of generosity, energy, fellowship and - of course - great cycling through EUMA’s Ride for The Refuge! Join us this Labor Day for our charity bicycle ride to end homelessness for families with children through EUMA's The Refuge, an emergency homeless shelter.
This year's event is set for Monday, September 2.
Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Start times are as follows:
The Ride features scenic tours of various distances and difficulty levels at each of our two event locations: Shades Beach in East Erie County (7000 East Lake Road, Erie) and Albion Borough Park ( 9 Dewey Steet, Albion) in West Erie County.
This is not a race, but an event for bicycle enthusiasts of all abilities. Participants will enjoy a great ride through scenic country, water and snack stops along the way, sag wagon services and our free and fabulous Riders' Picnic. Ride tours include: 25-km, 50-km, and 100-km; as well as a 50-mile (Shades Beach location only).
Pre-register by Aug. 21 for a free Ride for The Refuge t-shirt and a discount off the participation cost.
All proceeds benefit families who are struggling with homelessness and poverty, and are receiving safe shelter, basic necessities, guidance and support at The Refuge.
