Join us for Ride for The Refuge - a charity bicycle ride to end homelessness for families with children through EUMA's The Refuge, an emergency homeless shelter.
This year's event is set for Labor Day, Monday, September 3. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m. Start times are as follows: 8:00 a.m. for the 100k and 50 mile routes; 8:30 a.m. for the 50k and 25K routes.
The Ride features scenic tours of various distances and difficulty levels at each of our two event locations: Shades Beach in East Erie County and Albion Borough Park in West Erie County.
This is not a race, but an event for bicycle enthusiasts of all abilities. Participants will enjoy a great ride through scenic country, water and snack stops along the way, sag wagon services and our free and fabulous Riders' Picnic. Ride tours include: 25-km, 50-km, and 100-km; as well as a 50-mile (Shades Beach location only).
Pre-register by Aug. 22 for a free Ride for The Refuge t-shirt and a discount off the participation cost.
All proceeds from this event benefit families who are struggling with homelessness and poverty, and are receiving safe shelter, basic necessities, guidance and support at The Refuge.
